Participation in open court sessions as the basis of practice-oriented activities of students of the specialty Law

The problems of formation and development of professional competencies are so important in the conditions of modern education, and certainly require the participation of students in various fields of activity and increasing the practical component of the studied disciplines and modules. Of course, this is helped by the implementation of excursions that increase not only students’ interest in various branches of law, but also legal culture, legal awareness, and lawful behavior.

So, in the period from November 06 to November 20, 2024, as part of the study of the discipline «Criminal Procedural Law», students of graduation groups L-74,75,76,77, Lk-18 together with a teacher of legal disciplines Uspanova Z.N. took part in court sessions of court No. 2.Kostanay and the specialized interdistrict Criminal Court of Kostanay region as listeners.

The aim of this event is to support, expand and improve the gained knowledge and competencies, improve the quality of education of students of the specialty «Law».

The courtroom promotes practice-oriented education and helps students learn the basics of professional activity in practice.

During the visit to the open court session, students had the opportunity to gain knowledge about the actual features of the examination of criminal cases, as well as to see the stages of the courtroom.

This type of excursion is mandatory for students of legal specialties, because it allows them to get acquainted with the peculiarities of professional legal activity, to realize the responsibility of legal decisions on which the fate of people, their property and non-property relations depend, to see how the resolution of controversial issues is based on the application of legal norms.

I would like to note the genuine interest of college students caused by the realities of court sessions.
